There are two theories related to the Formation of the Moon.
Theory 1: Big Spat Event
The Big spat Event theory Says that A planetary body one to three times the mass of Mars collided with Earth. Due to collision, Large parts of the Earth blasted into space. These parts came together due to the Gravity of the earth to combine and form the Moon.
Theory 2 :
The second theory says that initially Earth and Moon were a single Dumbbell-shaped Object. Due to the rotation of this dumbbell-shaped object moon broke out and started rotating around the earth.
